A client who had used us earlier in the year to remove skunks from his shed called on a Sunday afternoon to say that he just saw a group of skunks in his storage area under his sunroom on the back of his house. We set up a time the following day to come out and inspect the area. When we arrived we checked the shed and were able to figure out what happened. A family of skunks had been using his deck as a refuge, which caused them to fall down into the storage shed and become stuck. Right off the bat two young skunks were located. After a few attempts to guide them into live traps failed a series of traps were set up to prevent any unwanted spraying. Overnight both of them managed to find their way into the traps. After they were removed more traps were set up by the entranceway, which caught the female and the third young skunk. The entry point was monitored for a few more days. With no more activity the next step is to set up a time to fully install barriers to prevent other skunks and other wildlife from entering the deck again.
