A client requested our emergency bat removal services to capture a bat flying around his kitchen. We arrived at the home and searched the lower level where the kitchen was. With no bat discovered we moved to the second. While the searching the second floor the bat was discovered flying around a bedroom. It was removed by hand and prepared for Rabies testing which came back negative. This was a Silver Haired Bat which is not a very social bat. No evidence of a bat infestation was discovered upon inspecting the home.

Emergency bat removal service is usually requested when a bat is flying around inside a building, and disturbing tenants. The most common type of bat infestation in homes are colonies in attics. Check your attic regularly.
