Around 12:00am we answered a call about a bat that had been seen flying around the house. The husband called us from outside the house looking in while his wife and kids were barricaded inside one of the bedrooms. Within a half hour we arrived on scene and met the husband who let us in through the back door. After a quick search the bat was found hanging by the fireplace’s mantle area. It was captured and removed to be prepared for Rabies testing. After the all clear the wife and kids came out and met us. We then did a quick search of the rest of the house revealing bat droppings in the attic indicating that bats were residing in the attic. We proposed our exclusion service which the agreed upon. Work began soon after with physical exclusion of the bats beginning in early August so that any potential young do not get trapped inside.
