A call was received about a bat flying around a house the night before. We immediately went to the site and walked upstairs to the bedroom where it had last been seen. Once entering the room a young bat was found on the floor. It was immediately captured and prepared for the Westchester County Health Department for rabies testing. Afterwards an inspection was conducted revealing evidence of a bat colony in the attic. We proposed bat proofing of the home to start in August, which the client eagerly agreed to.
