A homeowner contacted us looking for bird removal stating her husband had seen them flying around their attic. Once we arrived and entered the attic a nest of Starlings was discovered. In the nest were four young. Upon further inspection it was discovered that birds were using bathroom duct work for a number of years to gain access to the attic. The birds had damaged the ducts and were able to nest on attic insulation. We observed adult birds coming in to feed the young. Taking advantage of this both adults were netted and removed along with the young all in the same visit. Additionally the nesting material was removed and a custom vent cover was installed over the exhaust vent on the outside of the house to prevent future birds and wildlife from using it.
