Somers Raccoon Removal
March 2015
A rather large animal was heard inside of a wall from a client. Before the decision to cut open a portion of a wall was made, we waited to see if it would get out on its own. After a day, that wasn’t the case so we had to go in realizing that it was in fact stuck inside of a bathroom wall. After sawing three corners of a square we realized that it was right above the fourth. So gently we scored and cut the last corner removing the piece revealing a portion of a stuck raccoon. Realizing that the room was to small to use a catchpole it was decided to extract it by hand. The raccoon was safely removed and relocated with just a minor hole to fix. After it was complete a custom vent cover was installed to prevent any future raccoons from winding up in a similar situation.
